SLAT CHAIN CONVEYOR

SS SLAT CHAIN CONVEYOR

In stockcod available

Description

slat chain conveyor is a heavy-duty conveyor where metal or plastic slats are mounted on chains. It’s built for abuse—heat, oil, sharp edges, heavy loads.

If you’re trying to use a belt conveyor for rough industrial parts, you’re setting yourself up for failure. This is what you should be using instead.

What it actually does

Moves heavy, hot, oily, or sharp-edged products

Provides a flat, rigid moving surface

Works in harsh environments where belts die quickly

Main components (this is where quality matters)

Slats – MS, SS, or plastic (UHMW/PP)

Chains – duplex or simplex roller chains

Sprockets – drive + idler

Frame – MS or SS fabricated structure

Motor & gearbox – usually slow speed, high torque

Cheap chain = stretch → misalignment → breakdown. Don’t cut corners here.

Types (pick based on product, not price)

1. Straight Running Slat Conveyor

Simple horizontal transport

Best for assembly lines

👉 Good for: automotive parts, appliances

2. Inclined Slat Conveyor

With cleats or side guides

Moves product upward

👉 Good for: bins, scrap, bulk parts

3. Curved Slat Conveyor

Uses special chains

Handles direction changes

👉 Don’t attempt cheap design here—it will fail fast.

Typical specs (realistic numbers)

Speed: 5–20 m/min (slow but powerful)

Load capacity: 100 kg to several tons

Motor: 1 HP to 5 HP+

Chain pitch: 50–150 mm

If someone promises high speed like a belt—ignore them. This is not for speed, it’s for strength.
